Very recently, a prestigious contract was awarded to IPI to design & build 3 Natural Turf Football Fields and 1 pitch with Artificial Turf to FIFA standards at the Centre of Excellence, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
The venue will be first of its kind, dedicated to hosting major football events organized under the banner of FIFA, AIFF and AFC.
The pitches are being constructed to highest specifications meeting FIFA standards including automated Toro irrigation system, sub-surface drainage protected by geo-textile and top class sports turf to provide world class playing experience to national and International football teams.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of IPI team that worked non-stop during the heavy monsoon of Mumbai, two of the pitches will be ready to host practice matches for 2022 AFC – Women’s Asian Cup scheduled from 20th January to 6th February 2022.
The venue is also expected to host the practice matches for 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup scheduled in October.
The entire facility will be maintained by IPI (Irrigation Products International Pvt Ltd) for the next 6 years to ensure the grounds are maintained to highest international standards.
