Very recently, a prestigious contract was awarded to IPI <\/a>to design & build 3 Natural Turf Football Fields and 1 pitch with Artificial Turf to FIFA standards at the Centre of Excellence, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The venue will be first of its kind, dedicated to hosting major football events organized under the banner of FIFA<\/a>, AIFF <\/a>and AFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pitches are being constructed to highest specifications meeting FIFA standards including automated Toro irrigation system<\/a>, sub-surface drainage protected by geo-textile and top class sports turf to provide world class playing experience to national and International football teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of IPI team<\/a> that worked non-stop during the heavy monsoon of Mumbai, two of the pitches will be ready to host practice matches for 2022 AFC \u2013 Women\u2019s Asian Cup scheduled from 20th<\/sup> January to 6th<\/sup> February 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The venue is also expected to host the practice matches for 2022 FIFA U-17 Women\u2019s World Cup scheduled in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire facility will be maintained by IPI (Irrigation Products International Pvt Ltd<\/a>) for the next 6 years to ensure the grounds are maintained to highest international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
